Sheena Rae Dowling is a visual artist living, working, and teaching art in San Diego, California. She studied fine art at San Diego State University where she received her BFA in painting. She continued her studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York where she received her MFA in fine art with an emphasis in sculpture. Her work employs a variety of mediums including painting, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, and installation. Her work has been featured in shows from Los Angeles to New York. Locally she has exhibited in many galleries and museums including The San Diego Art Institute in Balboa Park and The New American Museum in Liberty Station. She currently teaches art to students of all ages and abilities while continuing her own creative practice. She is a very active member of In-Stead Art Collective and She frequently creates live art during the monthly BLVD Market Private Greenroom Event.
